Lambeau field has had 2 concerts since 1985; Survivor in 1985 to a modest crowd of 13,000, and then Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band in 2011. The Packers and their owners like to keep the field in pristine condition.
The event center of choice for Green Bay concerts is without a doubt the Resch Center. When there are no concerts in town, which isn’t very often, the Resch Center plays host to the minor league teams of Green Bay, including the Green Bay Phoenix (Basketball), Green Bay Gamblers (Hockey), and Green Bay Blizzard (Arena Football). However, the concerts here are anything but minor league. The Resch Center has hosted music superstars such as Miranda Lambert, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Barry Manilow. Outside of great Green Bay concerts, you’ll see world famous acts like Cirque Du Soleil. If you’re looking to stay local, go with the Resch Center for your show.
If you’re looking for some more moderately priced Green Bay concerts, you may want to consider the Meyer Theater. Opened on Valentine’s Day, 1930, the Meyer Theater has hosted memorable acts such as Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, and Johnny Cash. At one point, it was turned into a triplex cinema, but has since been reverted back through major renovations. Today, you can still see famous acts performing there such as Glen Campbell and Stardust, as well as local greats like the Civic Symphony of Green Bay.
Finally, if you’re just looking for Green Bay concerts in a smaller venue that hosts quality entertainment, you may want to consider the Green Bay Distillery. Consistently voted one of the top small venues in the Green Bay area, this bar/concert hall is known for filling some big shoes with entertainment like famous tribute bands and Dizzy Reed of Guns N Roses. This 8,000 square foot facility won’t be hosting the Foo Fighters anytime soon, but you’re guaranteed a quality Green Bay concert when you hit this place up.
If the venues for Green Bay concerts don’t quite do it for you, that area is extremely busy. You can find more concerts at Miller Park and the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Additionally, if you want to head over to Madison, Camp Randall Stadium is another venue for catching amazing acts.
